about  Truro & penwith College

REACH Cornwall was launched in November 2018 to work with organisations in the social care and healthcare sector to better understand training needs and develop and deliver innovative workshops, events, short courses, and longer programmes to try and meet some of these needs. Since September 2020, REACH Cornwall has been part of ESF Business Clusters and also worked with early years settings. Almost immediately after the announcement of the first UK lockdown, the team switched to online provision and, in the process, gained an international following with viewers across the UK and in places as far flung as Brazil, Canada, the Middle East and Singapore! Recognising that webinars offer benefits in terms of accessibility, especially for short-staffed organisations who struggle to release team members for training, some online provision continues alongside a variety of in-person learning opportunities. More details about upcoming training can be found here https://reachcornwall.org.uk/training-events/.

The tiny team behind the initiative are very dedicated and passionate about ensuring it delivers maximum benefit for adult social care, healthcare and early years providers. This is reflected in the wonderful feedback received to date which can be seen here: www.reachcornwall.org.uk/testimonials.

Hospitality Table Cornwall works with small to medium sized enterprises within the hospitality, hair, beauty, and complementary therapies sectors to develop courses required by these businesses to upskill staff to fulfill local business needs. The project is ESF funded and delivered by Truro and Penwith College that any small to medium sized enterprise can benefit from, these businesses must have under 250 employees, an annual turnover of less than €50 million (and/or an annual balance sheet not exceeding €43 million) and have received under €200,000 or equivalent of aid in a rolling three-year period. Our aim is to create initiatives that increase recruitment, raise aspirations for quality careers and develop industry-relevant learning pathways to improve skills, productivity, and quality.
