This is a collaborative project led by Truro and Penwith College to improve the labour market relevance of local training provision. As a partner in this project The Cornwall College Group will engage with employers in the following sectors: rural, health, technology and construction to identify skills needs and collaboratively review and revise the local training offer in line with industry requirements.

The Curriculum Development Managers will work with employers on a number of project specific activities such as, co-design of new training and courses, work experience/work placements, apprenticeships, course content including higher level and degree level programmes.

The College are offering an Apprenticeship Development Fund which will provide businesses (SME) with a grant payment of up to £3,000 to support enhanced feedback and review of apprenticeship standards. This is available for an apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle (Light & Heavy), Bricklaying, Healthcare, Property Maintenance, Livestock Technician and Engineering (Machinist).
